I'd honestly still like to see Oscar Isaac as Superman. Or as a live action Spider-Man 2099. At least he voiced the animated one in the Spider-Verse post credits scene.
My first introduction to Drake was in the animated series so I grew up with him as Robin, but I LOVED the Chris Yost Red Robin series even though it was short lived. I think I just like him standing out a little more, esp if Damian is in the traditional Robin outfit.
Tom Cruise is still playing a 30 year old in movies and selling it while doing his own stunts. I think if they find the right person, being a little older shouldn't really matter too much.
Oscar Isaac was basically genetically-engineered to play Miguel O'Hara so I'd like him to keep his schedule open for that role for the foreseeable, either in animation or live action lol
I could see the Spider-Verse sequel bringing in Miguel for the kind of significant role Peter had in the first one. Since Miguel is half-Mexican and Miles is half-Puerto Rican, and Miles' mom didn't really have much of a role in the first one, maybe lean into the whole Latinx identity a bit more. I don't think they'll be able to resist bringing Peter back, but I'd like a sequel that abandoned that whole Spider-Verse cast (besides Gwen) and brings in new players. 2099 of course, but maybe also Superior Spider-Man and/or Ben Reilly Spider-Man (or Scarlet Spider). And then, in an inevitable third movie, go for broke in a big ol' Spidergeddon, lol.
I also hope Peter B. Parker doesn’t return for a Spider-Verse sequel, only because his eventual return in a hypothetical third movie would then be an even bigger moment.
Would have to assume that Ben Reilly is a no-brainer for any Spider-Verse-expanding sequel, so hopefully Sony takes the low-hanging fruit.
Brenton Thwaites has been so great in Titans that I wish they could find a way to use him. But the timelines wouldn't match up for a while.
I was super into Gyllenhaal rumors when they were floating around. I would love to see Jamie Dornan in the role.
Yes, watch The Fall, it's on Netflix. I'll see if I can find it but he's stated his general disdain for those movies and kind of just did it for the paycheck.
I've seen The Fall (the first two seasons, only two episodes of the third, because for some reason it got super boring). Didn't really get a feel for him him as an actor in it or anything that made me think "Bruce!" -- he is very pretty. Him and Matt Bomer both feel similarly to me as actors.
Even though I'm not a fan of Gotham, the kid Bruce in that seems pretty good. Just use him, he has to be young enough.
I was all about JG but doubt that happens with Mysterio now. Toby Kebell (worked with Reeves already) or Pablo Schreiber maybe?
I almost made the joke about him just putting in Serkis and do fully CGI Batman but I thought after the Gotham post, it'd be too many jokes in a row.
