Wasn't Wonder Woman finished filming like a year and a half before it's release? And Justice League somewhere around there too it feels like.
In regards to the comment I made last week, I meant his portrayal of Batman. I can't 100% blame him because of what he had to work with. His role as a director has been between alright and good. I'm sure he'll do a fine job with the tone. I just hope the character isn't just murdering people.
This reads like a politician or celebrity's official public statement, lol. I got what you meant (in spite of surrounding comments being about directing) and was surprised/amused to see a wave of posts by people about the haters of his directing. Oh well.
This is even worse that it was about his batman and not his directing lol. What a perfect batman. He kills less in BvS than the Burton films and maybe the Nolan films (I don't think so but I'm sure there's a kill count out there).
I'm shocked at all the praise for Afleck as Batman. To me, he is a distant third behind Bale and Keaton. Closer to Kilmer's level than anything else. Much like BvS, my expectations for this are incredibly low.
I think we saw in BvS signs that Affleck is ready to become the best Batman we've ever seen onscreen. He just needs a movie that's, um, actually good first. If I'm being honest, though, there's no Batman/Bruce Wayne film adaptation where what I like about the film is that character himself. Only Batman so far who's a selling point in his own film is Adam West in Batman 66, and that's a completely different genre. Not quite sure what's missing for me.
I wish I had seen one of those signs that you're referring to. The movie was a huge problem, but so was his acting. His acting has been a problem basically his entire career.
