That's fine, it just feels very much like a middle film in a trilogy to me so far. I definitely enjoy it it's just very different than my expectations and even for a Batman film altogether
I also find it refreshing that they just leapt into things with the expectation that the audience already knows who Batman is and that he works with Gordon and we don't really need that explained to us again. To me, it feels like not treating the audience like they're idiots, which I appreciate.
I definitely appreciate not rehashing that whole thing again it just feels off not knowing any character motivations in the first 2/3 of the film
I feel like I’d have a better understanding of who he is if I saw his parents get shot, would have helped me to understand where he’s coming from.
And unless I see pearls and popcorn falling in slo mo to the ground to be spread out I just can’t comprehend the character.
The durability of Martha’s pearls definitely leads one to believe Thomas was cutting corners on his wife’s jewelry.
My god, the fact that we didn’t see a young Bruce googling if pearls break when they are dropped is a travesty. I don’t even know who Batman is anymore.
I wish this wasn't 3 hrs. Just a huge barrier to entry for us old heads with kids and I hate not finishing something if I start it so I don't wanna break it up between two days. #oldpeopleproblems
