I giggled to myself today thinking about Gordon showing Penguin the photos of Savage's crime scene and he goes "whaaaat are you showing me, cmoooon." Such great delivery.
The score is incredible. I listed to it stand alone over the weekend and it’s somehow more impressive. Been thinking about how great the subtle uses of the “bat-tech” and how great they were. the venom… haha pretty awesome
When I saw it in a relatively unpacked theater yesterday, there were kids laughing at Paul Dano’s performance at times and I felt like the biggest boomer snob because every time they laughed I’d think to myself things like “stupid kids, can’t appreciate this actor crafting this wonderfully demented character for the big screen”. Anyways, I hope they make 7 of these.
When I saw it last night 3 separate couples walked out and one lady said “that was painful” when it was over.
After seeing this twice at the same theater, once in IMAX and once in standard, it’s definitely worth splurging a bit for the former. So that’s what the third viewing will be.
Those tweets are bad but "Riddler only gives a performance at the end and wasn't epic" is a scathing review
Finally saw this. I enjoyed the true crime and investigation elements. I thought Pattinson was an okay Batman. Not the best, not the worst. Wasn’t a big fan of the Riddler. I liked the Penguin the most of all the villains. That said, this movie seemed way too long imo. I knew it was close to 3 hours, but it seemed way longer than that. Overall I’d give it a 7/10
