You want an intermission because you have trouble sitting in a theater for 2-3 hours at a time or what?
It’s an accessibility thing, there are tons of people who physically can’t sit in a theater for that long for a variety of reasons. A short intermission for long movies isn’t a lot to ask. Just because I and many others personally never need them doesn’t mean others don’t.
I probably have some as-yet-undiscovered medical issue because I have to pee very frequently. Like, before I leave the house and before I sit down at the movies. So either I don't drink anything for several hours before the movie or I don't drink anything during the movie but I don't like that idea either because I love salty popcorn. so yeah an intermission would be very nice
Unfortunately, movie theaters aren’t for everyone and that’s why I wish people who get mad about streaming movies as an option would simply shut the fuck up
I held it probably an unhealthy amount during No Way Home lol. But long movies I try not to drink anything before and I don't even start on my soda til like half way through the movie. If this is 3 hours I'm just gonna accept that I'll have to miss a couple minutes at some point haha.
I felt bad for going to the bathroom during "Drive My Car" but i'm happy I made it back just in time for the opening credits drop at 45 minutes in to the movie
I've never had an issue sitting through a long movie but I understand why others might, especially if it's a medical thing. My only gripe would be that if I'm into a movie, I don't like the idea of the experience being broken into parts and taking me out of it, but that's a minor quibble.
to be clear my original post was a joke, i don't think they should legally have to provide you with an intermission, but it would be nice to not have to miss a part of the movie to use the bathroom
There’s an app called RunPee App which is designed to let you know when to go pee at parts in a movie where you won’t miss anything.
