I’m personally someone who’s very excited for this and would not be excited if it felt like another Dark Knight film. *shrug*
I’d kill for a daredevil-esque Batman show where he just kicks the shit out of people. Low stakes, just bad ass detective work and hand to hand combat on the reg
that just sounds like basically all the Berlanti verse (and, to some degree, Pennyworth) shows, but make it R.
I want this, and still allow for crazy superpowered characters like Clayface, but still keep the same vibe. Treat them no different than if they were the Joker or the Penguin.
I just want Seven, but the detective dresses like a bat and occasionally beats the ever loving fuck out of some street kid
I'm all in for a still rough around the edges, mostly rage fueled Batman that gradually gets reigned in as the story goes
Idk why but the trailer gave some vibes from the burton films, but that’s also good. This film has more of a goth aesthetic than the Nolan and Snyder films.
When Selina says "it's only going to get worse for you" and Batman is looking at her and then looks up is insanely well done on Pattinson's part. You can almost feel his arrogance in the suit.
Very different style from Burton, but yeah, it’s not unfair to say it feels more gothic than anything since Burton. Which, I consider a very good thing.
Saw the trailer for the first time during Dune. It looks fine, obviously I’m gonna see it, but wasn’t blown away. Hopefully the Riddler has some better quips than the “black and blue and dead all over” line, that was weak. Would also recommend that Gotham’s villains hire some goons who can point their guns at Batman’s face instead of repeatedly firing into his armored chest.
No one is ever taught to aim for the head. Y’all play too many video games and think hitting a tiny object is easy
I mean Bats is 7 feet away and casually walking towards them like he’s entering a restaurant. I’m no military strategist, but if the bullets are bouncing off his chest, I’d probably switch it up. It’s not a big deal, it’s a movie, I get it. Let’s skip all this.
That also has been listed as a reason he has the bat symbol on his chest especially the yellow one. Presents a target for villains to aim at that is extra reinforced.
Oh hey, I didn't do it in this thread. Saw the trailer before either No Time to Die or Dune, looks interesting.
Pretty substantial spoiler that I’m surprised wasn’t reported earlier but, according to a prominent leaker, Barry Keoghan is portraying the Joker
Could be very very cool. If he plays it like he did in Killing of a sacred deer but just crazier oh baby.
