Out of all our heated food discussions, this one may become the most heated. Who reigns as Chorus's king of barbecue in 2016?
I've only done Texas and Kansas City, but have also had in Savannah as well. Big Apple BBQ in NYC is a great way to sample everything. Honestly, some of the best was in NJ: Stickey's BBQ, Stickey's Barbeque Are you talking about just the meat or the entire package: corn bread, mac n cheese, beans, etc? I like to judge the entire package.
I think it's just the style of how the meat is cooked/prepared Barbecue in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The other places you went to probably fall into one of those styles
tbh pretty much all bbq is good bbq (or at least Ive never had really bad bbq) so it's not like there's a really bad answer here. Unlike the muffin discussion *grumble grumble who the hell says chocolate chip is better*
I haven't had them all, but I can't imagine anything beating Texas. The BBQ in South Carolina was good, too, but not on the same level for me.
I've been going just meat since the city/state is reference to how the meat is prepared, but rating it as a whole package is a good way to look at it anyway (and it only makes my choice stronger in my eyes haha).
I obviously chose Texas, with Memphis close behind. Carolina and KC are good as well but I think Texas/Memphis reign supreme.
There's this place called Shakedown BBQ out near Hershey, PA and they have arguably the best BBQ Ive ever had. I went there last weekend, it's a decently long drive from where I am but it's so damn worth it.
Deandre Hopkins of the Houston Texans prefers Carolina and as a Texans fan I think he needs a month of rehabilitation
Carolina needs to be broken up. In North Carolina you have two different versions which are both different I believe from South Carolina
