In this action comedy from DreamWorks Animation, based on the best-selling book series, a crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws are about to attempt their most challenging con yet—becoming model citizens. this was fine. amusingly sharp animation and score plus sam rockwell is a good deal of fun as wolf, same with craig robinson as mr. shark. there’s a twist or two in the last half hour that nobody will win any prize for guessing, and a weird musical number that felt made out of obligation, but that might not bother the 9 and under crowd that see this. get the feeling dreamworks wants to make more of these, what with the source book being the first in a series
