i think prior to that, and it seems a lot of people didn’t know about it until natasha told them, a lot of people genuinely liked brendan. he was tapped as a potential lead, after all. and chris was just kind of … there. what they did is the same, if not worse for brendan, but he started from such a higher approval rating that, yeah, he’s gonna be allowed to just get chewed out by natasha and leave at that as opposed to chris. both suck.

So this is kinda interesting, and has been discussed a lot since Monday's episode, but a LOT of the cast has come out saying they had NO idea about Brendan and Pieper until the episode. And the reason is strictly because of the Brendan+Piper conversations that they obviously didn't hear on the beach, but are seeing now for the first time with everyone else. You gotta remember that while the audience (us) is privvy to many private conversations they had, the rest of the cast did not.

This came to a very interesting turn on Monday. Before the episode, both Brendan and Pieper posted on instagram, something mostly harmless and funny, and a LOT of cast members commented on their posts with positive friendly things. After the episode aired, almost every single bachelor nation went back and deleted their comments, some going as far as making new posts on their own pages about how they had no idea how bad it was until they watched themselves.

 

One of my friends has been keeping track of how many followers Brendan and Pieper have lost since Monday’s episode vs how many Natasha has gained.

as of an hour ago:
Pieper has lost 9k
Brendan has lost 76k
Natasha has gained 248k

Haha pretty crazy

She has a much smaller follower count compared to Brendan. There’s an instagram account called bachelordata that breaks down follows, screen time, etc. per episode. Definitely interesting to see the breakdown after these episodes.

 

at the same time, pieper seems to be very close with serena? joe probably was just like whatever that's dumb then and then it happened again and was like fuck this

 

yeah totally, and there might have been something we didn't see because Joe doesn't really get that emotional or angry, but he was angry last night hah

not gonna lie it was funny when maurissa was crying thinking Riley was talking to other girls at the party but he was just respectful and doing the worm

 

Riley has been a gem from a commentary stand point. And his dancing at the party.

 

Riley and the burt cake was so sad haha

 

Riley seems like such a genuine dude, really like him a lot.

Bachelor In Paradise Canada just announced their cast and there’s a few people from the US Bachelor franchise on this year!

 

Having never watched Bachelor Canada, why does it list a lot of the people as Bachelor Nation? Is that a show, or have they just been on more than one season?

Both surprised and not surprised to see some of the US cast there.

 

I honestly can't even tell who is from the US or not, everyone looks the same lol... I need like, a very clear "this person is from X's season of the bachelor or bachelorette" for these people

 

It says what series they were on at least for the US and if Canada isn't in the title it does imply it was the US version.

I didn't recognize the girls outside of Angela.

 

Holy shit. @kelseyleigh I just learned that "Bachelor Nation" means they aren't from the franchise, THEY ARE FANS. WTF?!?!?!?

 

none of those people were recognizable to me except kamil, only for being a piece of shit

 

Oh man! That makes things even more interesting. Has Canada's version of paradise done this before? I might have to find a way to watch.
