some of the artists it reminds me of are björk, sufjan stevens (age of adz), and I get major Radiohead vibes as well.

 

So I'm going full steam ahead on my Australian bands compilation. I reached out to about 20 bands on Bandcamp yesterday, and have gotten the green light from 4 of them so far!

This is going to be a punk/emo compilation of unsigned bands from anywhere in Australia. If you have any suggestions on bands for me to reach out to, drop their links here (preferably a Bandcamp link) and I will check them out and potentially hit em up! And if YOU are in an unsigned Australian punk/emo band and want to participate, throw me your link as well and I will take a listen.

The comp will be released on June 28th, so I will post a link in here to it when it's out!

The song sounds great! This compilation is going to strictly be bands from Australia though. If it all goes well, I'll make one that is focused just on New Zealand bands, and then I'd love to add you to it. Also, if I don't end up getting enough bands for this compilation, then maybe I will open this one up to NZ bands as well, and if I do, I will hit you up.

The Jade Imagine record that came out today is sooo dreamy

 

New Press Club record rips. Haven’t checked them out before, they sound like if Petrol Girls and The Menzingers wrote a record together

 

That new Dune Rats album is absolutely batshit insane and I love it.

 

I need to get on that, the singles they’ve released have been so good. Saw them at Trees last summer and they’re so insanely fun live. It’s definitely worth catching them when they tour here next.

 

I missed them at Trees :( This album is a massive step up for them IMO. Every song is a massive banger.

 

Just saw Dune Rats have signed with Rise Records too? When did that happen?

I like the band, just a shame a large group of their fans are gross.

New Slowly Slowly record out soon, I'm well keen.

 

If you're not obsessed with Carla Geneve yet, you should be!
