Kris has to have written like 40 songs during these sessions by now.

I’m not complaining.

 

I thought he only had a vew guitar tracks and vocal overdubs to go? Does this mean it's new songs for a different release?!?!

 

Yeah, in the interview with @paythetab, Kris said he had "three more songs of vocals and a few guitars, and then one more song of just vocals" to finish. Maybe he's written more songs he's excited about, but I did give that a bit of a side-eye, considering he was just supposed to be finishing lyrics for 10 years now for Graveyard of the Atlantic.

 

He’s mentioned enough songs for two albums for a while now. I think 14 on the first was mentioned.

 

I’d love to get a few releases in relatively quick succession.

 

I also really wish the dates with MxPx were coming anywhere close to me.

 

The clip on their story right now sounds soooo good!

 

Interested to see how he handles this. Does he go the deluxe route after a year of it being out and slap new songs on that? I can't imagine he would rush a 2nd release after the big comeback album.

They pulled the acoustic version off spotify after a couple weeks, and then a few weeks later the re-recorded version disappeared as well.

 

Thankfully don't depend on the streaming services

 

Latest update said the album is finished tomorrow!

Through all my shitposting and reasonable doubt throughout the years, I am so glad for Kris that he has confidence in the songs to be released and for my own selfish reasons very excited to listen. Time to bust out my vinyl copy of Welcome the Night and spin the shit for the hype.
