Worth noting that Kris mentioned on Chris Demakes' podcast that this wasn't going to be a tour. This is just a one-off thing.

    Aaaachem!

The news all Ataris fans have - had like six or eight times since they last released an album 15 years ago

That'd weird because I swear a few weeks ago when he was doing his acoustic set opening up for Alien Ant Farm, he implied he would do a tour. Whatever makes him happy I guess.

I just go under the assumption that Kris creatively burned out after a decade's worth of albums between 1997 and 2007. Either that or he turned into Axl Rose and writes a ton of music that no one will ever hear because he can't get it to sound the way he hears it in his head.

It could have been worse. I got bands I love that only recorded two full length albums, like Company Of Thieves and Secret Lives Of The Freemasons.

This is pretty much how I’ve always interpreted it. I always thought that there was so much anticipation for Graveyard of the Atlantic that was only getting bigger as time went by, that Kris probably felt like it had to be perfect. I hope he’s doing well and happy and I’m so thankful for the shit load of Ataris songs that I spent my teens listening to nonstop.

    Give what you can.

Does this include the bass player that went to prison for that real estate scam?

    Things have changed.

He's out already – was supposed to serve 7 years but only did like, one?

They might be touring the album, but not with that specific line-up? I dunno.

I wouldn't say that he's out creatively as the songs he has released here and there since Welcome The Night have been really good.

    So assuming that this weekend...

Kris also mentioned on Chris Demakes' podcast that the show is at the Wiltern and they're working on some "super special guests." For the Ataris to have a successful show at a place so large as the Wiltern I wouldn't be shocked if the openers are some fairly big names.

Mike Davenport is out of prison? I got to talk with him in 2014 when they did the 10 year anniversary tour and he was rad , couldn’t believe it when all the real estate scam shit came out! My best friends dad spent 11 years in jail for fraud so it that shit hits close to home. So long Astoria is an awesome album but unfortunately the members who made it suck as being good people. Namely Kris & Mike

  15. Mike didn't spend much time in there at all. like a year and a half or something.

Wow that was fast! For ruining peoples lives you’d think it would be a lot longer but the whole system doesn’t make sense to me ‍♀️
