The Antlers and Bombay Bicycle Club teasing new stuff on the same day, jesus fucking christ I am not ready
Hospice is one of the few albums I actively chose not to listen to because it fucks me up. Usually I can listen to music regardless of what’s being said. Putting this one on is a conscious decision to be down.
Why Frenchkiss didn't put Hospice out on 2xLP to begin with escapes me but they seriously missed a trick. I had to move that pressing on because it sounded like ass.
Got my ticket this morning at a surprisingly expensive €33.85 but then I remember I was planning a trip to London if they didn't come here and I'm actually much better off. Plus THIS album, in THIS venue? I will never be the right amount of emotionally prepared for this fucking show.
3 things from the show tonight. 1. Hospice front to back is one of the best things I've ever seen live. 2. 3. Briefly chatted with Peter after the show and he confirmed that the Antlers are working on new music. Aaaahhhh!!
looks like such a fun time. saw them a few years ago on their familiars support and i can't imagine what a full hospice show would be like
