I don’t think I liked my first listen of this. Green to Gold is like an all-timer for me and the little EP of singles were great too, so maybe I was hoping for more of that. I think I’m having a hard time listening to a record that is almost all environmental messages and less personal topics (or at least that’s what it seemed like while casually listening). I’ll definitely give it some more spins and see how it feels. On a different note, I really like how the band have the drums play a prominent role in their songs, as opposed to just being in the back and supporting everything else. I think it’s unique and makes the drummer feel like a vital part of their songwriting.
I agree that this didn't quite connect with me like their other stuff, but the encompassing sadness of the album was pretty impactful. I will give it another chance soon
