The Anniversary Band

Discussion in 'Music Forum' started by jordalsh, Mar 22, 2016.

  1. The Anniversary was an American band formed in Lawrence, Kansas in 1997 by Josh Berwanger, James David, Christian Jankowski, Adrianne Verhoeven and Justin Roelofs.

Today they made a twitter and posted this image:

I can't even begin to imagine that. I'd much rather just see a tour than a new record haha

Since I'll never get to attend these shows, I'm crossing my fingers for a Designing a Nervous Breakdown vinyl reissue.

  11. No way they don't do Riot Fest on the 16th with that routing.

That would be awesome. They were one of the first bands I got really into, back when Designing a Nervous Breakdown came out. Never got to see them live though.

Josh Berwanger opened for The Get Up Kids at Urban Lounge last year and was awesome, made me want an Aniiversary reunion so bad.

Thanks for the head's up. Can't not grab this given I've wanted it for 14 years.

My friends are opening for them in Chicago so I’m going to try and go but I don’t know The Anniversary’s material super well. Where is a good place to start?

  22. They just have two albums and I think they’re playing all of Designing a Nervous Breakdown on this tour. That’s the better one in my opinion. Your Majesty is a really weird left turn and almost sounds like a different band at times, but it’s still decent.

@troyplaysbass if you’re going tonight come say hi! My friends band Wet Tropics isn’t opening anymore since their singer injured his band during load in but since I already bought a ticket I’m still going.

  24. I’m actually playing at SubT tonight, otherwise I’d be there. That’s a bummer about Wet Tropics, hope it’s not too serious.
