New season one week from today.

One of, if not the best show on television currently.

Yeah it is. It is a shame I fell off of it. I need to watch last season and then get caught up to this year.

Very glad they're hitting the notes with Paige and (soon) Henry that they've promised since episode one. Would be nice to get a goddamn fifth season.

  6. I can't imagine this show getting cancelled before the showrunners are ready.

Really fantastic episode all around. For a minute or two I thought they were actually going to kill off Elizabeth, which is a testament to how terrific those scenes were.

The same thought went through my head, just a phenomenal episode.

  13. So brutal and sad. I was not ready for that at all.

  14. With major deaths on many other shows I watch in the past few weeks, it's so nice to finally see one that was actually emotionally affecting and not clouded by behind the scenes bullshit.

    What? This hasn't been renewed?

It probably will be. It's not unusual for a show to not be renewed 4 episodes into a season.

Wow that ending. Did not see that coming at all. I knew she was dreaming moments before that sequence, but still did. It expect that. I wonder if Oleg's dad will tell him she's dead or that he helped her so he moves back.

Also, Martha played her hand very nicely tonight. Now they have every reason to understand her sneakiness and off-kilter behavior.

It hasn't and there isn't any indication that it will be. The Live + 7 Day ratings have been pretty close in line with season 3 though.

I think the head of FX has pretty much said he'll give The Americans as many seasons as it needs.

I don't think it needs but one more season after this.

This definitely isn't the show you want to drag out.

It was hard to watch for sure. Though, I have to admit I was kind of surprised to see her react the way she did. It was almost like that was what she wanted or something.

Indeed. both versions of the verdicts had this sense of bittersweetness. whereas the dream had them stepping out into the frozen desolation that she associates with reality, the actual version of events had her falling into deliverance.
