  14. Vinyl and download first, then streaming, is pretty cool in 2023 imo.

Still new to this band but I love this album pretty immediately. Feels like a natural progression for them and some of their most daring stuff.

Kinda brings to mind of what it’d be like if Wild Pink continued making slowcore-type indie music and progressing that sound forward.

Listened again on a long drive and this paired with the fall foliage meshed perfectly.

This is an unbelievably good album. Seems odd how little hype it’s getting, especially here.

    This is very good.

I don't think I'll ever be able to get over how much this band sounds like Death Cab (or vice-versa)

Yes haha. Vocals definitely sound like DCFC but the instrumentation is pretty different. And although the lyrics here are consistently great, Ben's lyrics are so idiosyncratic and more narrative-driven in comparison. This band seems to focus more on atmosphere and texture.

They're all pretty different in their own ways, but I do end up lumping these guys, Pinback, Wild Pink, and Death Cab in that part of my brain for "cozy" indie.

  22. another old one out on numero today:
