Just out of interest, how do you know how many albums you've heard? Is that 7000 albums that you like and have in your collection / iTunes library, or 7000 albums you've heard in total, including albums that you didn't enjoy and wouldn't come back to? If the latter, how do you keep track of that?
I made it a project during the pandemic to put all my listening lists from 2010-present, my “to-buy” list, and my database of what I own together into a master spreadsheet of what I’ve heard. Then I went in and added as many albums that I heard and “no’d” prior to 2010 as I could remember. So it’s not perfect, but it’s as close as I can get to a list of everything I’ve heard It’s been useful for the year-by-year
Interesting! That’s quite an undertaking! There’d be some cool stats and graphs and stuff that I’m sure would be possible to make from that master list too.
Oh yeah. It honestly would have been impossible if I wasn’t already such an avid record keeper of what I listen to every year and what I own. Working from already assembled lists was the the only way

Oh shoot sorry I didn't see you say you were gonna start compile...disregard mine if it's too late, it was enough of a win for me to narrow it down to 100 anyway
Yes! I was a huge fan. Not to be all like "read this thing I wrote" but I ranked all their songs after Adam died last year if you're interested: Lead Us Not Into Penn Station: Every Fountains of Wayne song ranked - Jukebox Graduates
VERY excited to read. Not to be all like "watch this thing I made," but a friend and I did a cover of Mexican Wine last year after Adam passed:
This is an impossible task. All I know is this: Release by Pearl Jam, In Exile by Thrice, Nightswimming by REM, Lover, you should've come over by Jeff Buckley, Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles and Daylight Fading by Counting Crows are in. I'll try to make a list tomorrow, wish me luck.
