interesting. I adore Kids In the Street, so any type of lineage from that record is A-OK in my book! So glad to have them back.
Listen ... 3 or 4 maybe ... Really enjoying it this morning. Sun coming in the window, good coffee; it's working.
Hell yeah. Honestly, I’m happy to hear it’s a weird record even if you don’t (or didn’t) think it’s entirely successful. They’ve become a pretty strange band which I appreciate; they’ve had an interesting albeit very slow trajectory.
7 out of 11 songs being out before the album release date is interesting. King Kong has the most potential of the bunch to be a radio hit, they should give that a chance to breathe
Post above is about the return of the house party tour, not another single. They probably will release another song before the release date though
Just listened to this and broke down. My mother’s currently in hospice with only months left. I’ve been taking care of her along with my stepfather and this…this just wrecked me
Mixed on first listen, but I'll come back to it. Why does the chorus of "Eggshell Tap Dancer" sound like Los Campesinos? Not a sound I expected to hear from them.
I live in Bloomington. Last Saturday around 5 pm I heard a band setting up to play at a house nearby, and at first I was annoyed that it was going to be a loud evening, but then they started soundcheck and I was loving what I heard. I couldn't catch any of the lyrics other than "hanging on a clothesline" and "standing on a landmine," but I really wanted to track down that song. A couple hours later, the show still hadn't actually started, but I heard a decent crowd starting to gather. Still had no idea who the band was. When they finally started playing and they opened with "Dirty Little Secret," I just about had a heart attack, and immediately went over to catch the rest. I hadn't seen them live since an arena show with Fall Out Boy in 2006. One of the coolest experiences I've ever had.
