Completely forgot about this. So many types of these shows just blend together. But, excited for it to come back.
Loved the first season, haha. This type of show is right up my alley. I know it won't touch the French version, but I'm a sucker for anything CIA/spying, so I'll take whatever this show can give. Hope to start this tomorrow.
Season 2 has been fantastic; imo, right up there with the best seasons of The Bureau. Just incredible TV.
I've only watched the first 4 episodes and it's just as good as S1 so far. I'm really enjoying it, the espionage has its hooks in me all the way.
It keeps getting better. I love how grounded in realism and logic the whole thing lives by. The final episodes are riveting. Can confirm it sets up a season 3.
I have two episodes left and Jesus. This season has hit it outta the park... SO MUCH IS HAPPENING. It really does feel like the show expanded as a whole there's so many plotlines happening, so much espionage and betrayal, and such stellar performances. I admit I was a bit dismayed that all episodes dropped at once because I really did enjoy the week to week format last season but this season is so intense with episodes ending in giant reveals that I couldn't imagine waiting a whole week for answers. VERY excited to see how the season wraps up and hopefully we get news about S3 soon!

Like I said earlier, while I enjoyed the first season a LOT, they really upped the intensity and espionage by 100. I was literally hooked. I never saw the original French version, is it still doing 1:1 on it? So you have an idea re: that cliffhanger??
Original French version is still a GOAT'ed show; just stellar TV. But this season 2 of The Agency is right up there with the best of the French version, imo. Highly recommend you watch the original, if you're able to. In terms of the cliffhanger, I thought he was getting out of it via that SUV he started driving, but alas. If it follows the beat of the original show, he will get rescued in some way (main character was taken by ISIS in the original show).
Season 2 was absolute crack. It’s still following the same structure of The Bureau on literally an episode-to-episode basis but there were some significant character changes in this season (besides the obvious switching of the nations involved). Season 3 of the Bureau was my favorite so I hope we get renewal news soon. It’d be such a bummer for this show to not get all 5 seasons because the blueprint they’re following is already there and it’s a really good one.
Yeah I may have to look into it. I think it was you after last season ended who suggested Tehran and I got hooked on that show and now that The Agency is over I need some spy thrillers like now. Oh wow 5 seasons....PLEASE Showtime give it to us. This shownshould be scratching an itch for people who enjoyed Homeland soni hope it's getting viewers....plus the network isn't afraid of giving less deserving shows multiple seasons, and this show IS that damn good.
