The Adam Project (Shawn Levy, March 11, 2022)

After accidentally crash-landing in 2022, time-traveling fighter pilot Adam Reed teams up with his 12-year-old self for a mission to save the future.

 

Is this good?

 

I’m almost halfway through. It has it’s moments so far. I’m also a fairly easy sell on anything with time travel.

yeah this is weak. somehow mostly underwhelming despite one and a half ryan reynolds’ on screen the whole time

 

I don't understand what the bad lady's (Sorian?) motivation was for going back in time to 2018. She was already the leader in 2050 right? Reynolds and Saldana mention something about her not having absolute power but don't clarify it beyond that.

 

Honestly I’ve already forgotten most of this movie. But I think she went back to give herself insight to make a fortune? I honestly don’t remember what she didn’t have control over at that point since Louis was dead.

 

I assumed she was leader *because* she went back and manipulated / guided things (herself?) at the beginning of the project. But, not going to lie, I fell asleep for about 8-10 minutes in the first half so could have missed something or filled in the blanks.
