One of my favorite albums of all time. I recently bought a promo cd they released to radio on ebay before the album came out, it has 3 songs on it. The indie release was also good. "I Don't Believe" and "This Too Shall Pass" got me through some really shitty times.
Btw every few weeks my Release Radar on Spotify shows me a new release by Greenwheel and I get mad every time (it's not the same band)
AI or not, it's super annoying. I also get these for Atomship, Cold, Crossfade, Trust Company and Closure. I don't even pay attention to them anymore.
I love that you posted this band. One of the many underrated things about the film Reign Of Fire. I often think of what a second album would have been like.
I was just telling my wife about Reign Of Fire last week, she never heard of it. I showed her a clip, she said the VFX looks pretty good for a movie from those years. I love that film, I saw it in the theater when it came out.
So apparently this is from something called Beneath The Surface dropping on the 27th, which is probably a deluxe version of The Surface Seems So Far. Weird that there's no announcement yet though.
Okay correction from FILTER|News, it's an EP with the single and another track "Proud Daddy" and two live songs, coming April 17th.
Speaking of Filter news... FILTER's New Album 'The Antidote' Is 'Pretty Much Almost Done', Says RICHARD PATRICK
I remember those songs! I'm still trying to track down an mp3 of "Flood", which was on a the Japanese release of Soma Holiday.
I can probably upload it for you I'll send you a PM Edit: It looks like I don't have that one, I'll look for it too
Not sure if this is the best thread for straight grunge talk but I don’t see a “grunge thread” lol so anyway… my girlfriend showed me the Chris Cornell song “Sunshower” from the Great Expectations movie soundtrack yesterday, gorgeous song I’d never heard before. She was only slightly familiar with Chris’ work in general and isn’t a big hard rock person generally but I’ve been getting her into some of his stuff, and it’s put me on a binge of his bands for the first time in a while. Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave, some killer solo work… what a career, and indisputably one of the best rock singers as far as I’m concerned.
Not yet but I just listened to it earlier, amazing track. She’s been generally gravitating towards more of his ballads/soulful tracks, he had huge artistic range which was one of my favorite things about him.
