Didn't Richard Patrick of Filter come at the guitarist of Shinedown for not speaking out against Trump, accusing him of being afraid of alienating the presumably very red state fanbase of Shinedown?
Sure did. I'm actually wondering if Shinedown is a reverse SOAD situation, where they have differing views but choose to hedge their bets by trying to be for everyone and end up pleasing no one. I only wonder this because Brent seems to be trying very hard to thread the needle.

Seeing OLP tonight for their 30 year tour. Last time I saw them it was last year, they did like 5 songs and Raine was terrible. Hoping for a good show tonight.
I saw Alter Bridge at the O2 in London a couple of nights ago and they were brilliant, Sevendust and Daughtry were awesome as well!! 11th time seeing AB live and 1st time seeing Sevendust and Daughtry live as well
Does the post-grunge/active rock stuff do well in the UK or is it more band by band basis? I figure some of that stuff would just NOT translate in UK/Europe but I could be wrong.
Well Nickelback, AB, Halestorm and now Shinedown have joined them when it comes to headline and packing out arenas in the UK Black Stone Cherry do headline arenas but they like to mix things up everytime they tour over here like they r doing 1,500 to 2,000 cap venues later this year for their An Evening With tour but then when they come back again they headline arenas But last year Three Days Grace completely sold out their UK tour way in advance and those venues r 3,000 to 5,000 cap rooms, Godsmack sold out their biggest UK headline show at Eventim Apollo in London which is over 5,000 people but bands like Soil, Drowning Pool do these 4 band 15 date package tours the last few years and they do really well And saving the best for last.. Breaking Benjamin sold out their UK tour with Chevelle supporting straight away that the venues for the tour got upgraded to the bigger venues and those sold out straight away as well
Interesting, I imagine Breaking Benjamin has extra demand since they so rarely come over due to Ben's fear of flying.
Shout out to whoever plays the music between bands, they played Arto Of Dying and now Finger Eleven's Suffocate. There's still 20 minutes until TDG goes up and I'm having a great time.
Funny story, there's was a tall guy (I'm 6'1 and couldn't see anything) so I went to stand between the seats and the sound area (still on the floor) where I can see something and have space to move. They were doing I Hate Everything About You and Adam went to sing in the crowd. After a few seconds I was looking at the stage and suddenly everyone looks straight at me. I turn around and see Adam standing right behind me. Before I understood what was going on he run back to the stage. Now I need to find a video of that happening, there were tons of people filming.

Wanted to shoutout an old 2002 album, Greenwheel - Soma Holiday. If you want Matchbox 20 and Fuel blended, this is probably your band:
Love this band. They released an EP after this that isn't on streaming, and there is a whole unreleased second album out there called Electric Blanket. Both absolutely rule.
