Oh they have another one too. Their second album was initially shelved in 2005, then came out in 2011. I remember the posts on ap.net I remember them being kinda emo though, did they get more post grungey?
I don't know if I'd call this post-grunge but I see why Nate posted it and it's quite enjoyable. I could definitely see a place for this on Active Rock stations. I see this band once did a split with Waterdown and that feels especially appropriate, does feel like that sort of melody-focused post-hardcore that's very digestible.
It has a 10 Years vibe to it. But yes, in the past they were more emo/post hardcore. Still are but this album has a rock sound to it as well.

Another band that straddles the line between emo, pop punk and alt rock. Saw them open for One Step Closer.
This band always gets a listen to me because of Doc Coyle. Also, the new vocalist being a former member of TAS is another plus.
So I've been relistening to all of their albums, and I'm on this one, and I think the reason it fails to grab me has something to do with the production. For some reason the vocals feel lower in the mix and the instruments are overpowering it, and the instruments in general feel like they blend together more, which is so odd, because every album up until then, they've been good about not doing that. I mean, the band had self-produced several records before, so I'm not sure why this album came out the way it did.
Earshot announced their new album, Humaning, drops digitally next Friday, with physical to follow early next year. Massively stoked.
This new Earshot album is exactly the kind of crunchy moody hard rock I was craving. So glad they're back.
