New Puddle Of Mudd album dropping May 2nd: Kiss The Machine. Weird album art. Also only nine songs is a bummer. 1. Beautimous 2. Free 3. In Love With A Dancer 4. Back Against The Wall 5. Firefly 6. Maniac 7. Baby You Da Best 8. Everything 9. Win Win Win
FINGER ELEVEN's Long-Awaited New Album Will 'Surprise A Lot Of People' Love this band so much. Super stoked for this and glad to read Scott being so positive.
I'll still go to bat for the first Puddle Of Mudd album. The second one was one of the rare major label releases of its time which was like...actively bad at points.
'I Suck' - Puddle of Mudd Singer Claims He Was Roofied After Disastrous Benefit Performance Hopefully this new album will help him get his life together
A few months ago I got a notification on Bandsintown that The Color Red announced a show near me... Of course it was a false alarm but it got me listening to their album for the first time (beyond the 2 songs I knew) and I am hooked. Now I feel even worse that it wasn't them coming to perform.
Stage uploaded all of their old and rare stuff to Spotify. Not sure many people here know/remember them but they are one of my favorite bands from that era.
Did they post about this anywhere? I see the EPs from before the self-titled, but what's the story behind Green? A full-length album dated 2005?
They posted the link on their FB. The Green album was out on the internet for years but was never labeled as that.
Holy shit I loved this album. They were a LI band so 92.7 LIR on LI which I could pick up in Southwestern CT (ironically which could NOT be picked up in the city proper) used to push them real hard thus why I ended up getting the CD. If I recall, their record kept getting pushed back multiple times so I had a leaked advance in fall of 2002 and it wasn't out until Spring of 2003. Nonetheless, great record and Ryan Star eventually found more success as a solo album but this shit rules.
I was a huge fan of the album too. A few years later all those demos made their way online and now they are finally available for legal streaming.
Very cool. I've tried and failed to find them on social media a few times. Truly terrible SEO on that band name haha
They eventually rebranded to HRVRD - they broke up over a decade ago, their first album “The Inevitable and I” is similar to Circa Survive and other post-hardcore/indie
The funniest thing is looking up HRVRD was even harder than Harvard because the results autoredirected to the full word lol. It’s like Castevet -> CSTVT or something. Many bands did that at the time and it was an odd non SEO friendly trend.
