I assume half the people complaining online about The Acolyte have no clue who Dave Filoni even is.

only just got to the latest episode and it was so harmless and deeply fine lmao. I can't believe *this* is the episode that broke all the chuds

anyway, yeah weird pacing and ending but I'm still into this. the amount of "I can fix her" I experience whenever Mae is on-screen cannot be measured by human science

 

This is actually hilarious.

 

Big part of my hype for this show going into it was Headland's statements that the fight choreography was influenced by Chinese cinema, her describing the fighting style as "Force Fu", and making comparisons to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. So I am a little let down that the fight scenes so far haven't really done much for me. We still got 4 episodes left, so hopefully we get some bad ass Wuxia inspired action soon.

 

i've liked what we got, but they've been really sparse (which i guess i get why given the content of the last two episodes). really hoping for more.

 

The two fight scenes we've had so far were pretty great I thought, but yeah was expecting there to be more. I'm assuming there will be now that the sith person has showed up

 

on the subject of CTHD, could we please get Michelle Yeoh in Star Wars? someone give her a lightsaber and let her tackle this kind of combat as well

Man I take for granted how lucky Star Trek fans are that we got her in Trek lol

 

First thing that comes to my mind when I hear Force Fu as a band name is a Funk inspired Nu-Metal band fronted by a white dude with dreads.

 

So P.O.D., except white.

 

Seeing brightened images of the mystery Sith from this past episode, it’s pretty clear who is under the mask.

Anticlimactic, but the combo of arms, hands, and height, make it clear that it’s Qimir.
