Debut album out April 6, 2018 on Red Bull Records.

I'm legitimately obsessed with this band. Probably my most-anticipated album of the year that isn't The 1975 or Maggie Rogers at this point.

Outside of the Pianos album, these three songs are basically the only thing I have listened to this year.

Here for it. Haim, Muna, now Aces... A lovely sub genre of music I can get behind

Solid album, although nothing real groundbreaking. If you like HAIM, MUNA, and the new Paramore, then this will be right up your alley.

I love all of those things.

The re-record of Stuck sounds great.

Cristal’s vocal rasp, especially on the bridge of it, sounds so incredible.

Been a fan of this band since their EP last year - “Physical” and the accompanying music video had me obsessed.

This is my favourite record I’ve heard all year.

The fourth paragraph of that NPR review is straight-up triggering. Referencing The 1975, Paramore, and HAIM? @Craig Ismaili next time quote me.

  12. i was going through some of my bandcamp pages this morning, and remembered this Utah bands compilation i put out a few years ago.

if anyone is interested, this is what The (Blue) Aces used to sound like:

  13. I'm only a few tracks in, but I'm loving this. I think her rasp reminds me of Dua Lipa

  14. Cristal is (or at least was) a huge Jessie J fan so I think her rasp comes from Jessie J a bit too.

This was a nice surprise for me. Had never heard of them before but a good handful of these songs are superb indie pop tracks.

Really hope it gets them the audience they deserve. Seems like a perfect fit; both bands are roughly made up of people the same age and could easily have overlapping fanbases
