L Train is pretty solid, even though I wish it went somewhere by the end, but Miracle is still my favorite of the bunch by far.
Literally perfect for it. If their last album gives "last day of high school" vibes. This is spring is here in every single facet.
Part of me is strongly feeling I should skip this one and enjoy the rest on the 27th. I might cave though.
L Train has really grown on me.. but I now downright don’t like 2005 lol 2/3 ain’t bad though! I roll the dice on those odds.
based on these these songs, the album is definitely feeling like a logical followup to Lost In Pacific Time, Sputter fits right next to these tracks without missing a beat
Digging Miracle the most by far, went a bit unrecognised on this forum. That and L Train have reignited my interest after the first single.
I still jam SANTI and Almost Here pretty consistently, but man.....these songs sound like they were made to be played at a local café or an Abercrombie & Fitch store.
What fucking dunk? It's just an opinion. My fucking POINT, which I thought was pretty clear, is they are not making the same type of music they did on their previous albums. It's TAI in name only.
I'll just quote myself: This is where I disagree quite a bit. For one, TSL, I do not think released an album that sounds that much like their previous work at all. I think it and this are very very very similar in taking the band's influences in running in a new direction. TSL took more of their rock side, TAI took their 80s influence. I think there's a strong similarity there. The core of the band is there but they accentuated new limbs. Second, for a band that has one kinda pop-punk meets TBS album, one Butch Walker album, and one last day of summer more pop than anything album .. I've never really thought they have "a sound" more than they had Will's voice and a vibe. This entire album is a vibe. Anyway, the album's fantastic and I'll defend it all year.
