he wanted to make sure they all had the chance to meet me, the new coolest (15 year old) guy on the site
Just getting around to the article - fun read! Maybe a dumb question — Cubera doesn’t ring a bell, but “Joe” and “long term member” do. Was that anamericangod?
Yeah, dude was not my favorite. I’m sure he’s grown at least a little in the last 7 years though and hope he’s doing alright. Mostly only asked because I was surprised to him interviewed haha
they were supposed to send him handwritten lyrics or something for like the first 50 records but never did and just sent him a photocopy of the lyrics or something like that.
Times like the times I'm having right now, I really wish AP.net was still around. Fr fr no cap. I'm probably almost definitely just feeling nostalgic for a specific era of the site. This one is nice. I'm just a lot older now and making friends is 10000x harder. I don't have a group anymore and it would be nice to have one again, even if it was online.
I, for one, am glad AP.net is gone. I said some awful shit as a teenager, and probably younger 20’s, too. Glad to no longer have that on the internet.
That was my initial thought too. I guess now I think I could live with it being there. Nobody really knew my real name aside from a few, and they never mentioned me by name. If someone wanted to dig up something on me, I could own up to it. Maybe. I'm two beers deep which is the equivalent to the six or seven when I was younger.
Yeah I absolutely got caught up in a lot of the AP drama and shenanigans. Also said some absolutely dumb shit so I’m also glad it’s gone.
It was Ace Enders technically, Joe put out I Can Make A Mess’s Gold Rush and it had a myriad of issues. The biggest one was the lyric sheets, which Joe had to do because Ace sent him one copy of each song and this was after Joe bugged him quite a bit since the release date was rapidly approaching and Ace was AWOL.
I remember one time in the AP thread about the Boston Bombing I made a post critical of the militarized cops searching houses door to door and I got reported to the mods by like a half dozen people. One guy accused me of being a conspiracy theorist because I dared say "what the cops are doing here is bad actually". I "wasn't respecting the fears of people in the thread currently in Boston" was something I remember being told. I could never imagine getting that response now on Chorus. Most of you motherfuckers would agree with that take.
