I still talk to some of the PL gang. People dunked on us for no reason.

To Write Love On Her Arms had a thread every year where teens would come in for help on their depression (I think?) and people would troll them.

 

Thomas Nassiff’s feud with Tranist. If I remember correctly, he was a huge fan of the band. Then he wrote a review for their new album that he didn’t like and the band got mad.

Personally I'd rather not think about people here were engaged in revenge porn so gross in hindsight

Anamericangod Joe's American Dream Label and The Gold Rush Incident

So anamericangod Joe, where to start? Dude was an incredibly toxic bully who for whatever reason was also a beloved poster. One day, he, along with another poster who financially backed him, announced his own record label, American Dream Records, in which he put out vinyl records of beloved AP bands. To his credit, he initially was successful, putting out releases from The Graduate and Acceptance to name a couple. Enter Ace Enders. Ace was set to release Gold Rush and he gave ADR the rights to put it out on vinyl. The pressing included 50 records on 180 gram black and was to include "handwritten" lyrics from Ace (more on that later), and three other color options. Many problems emerged with this release, from delays to alterations with the color pressing due to be unable to acquire the wax pellets required for the original colors. The biggest one though was Ace himself, who is a rather flaky man to put it mildly. He was supposed to provide these handwritten lyrics to the label but after many dodged calls and emails, he gave them exactly one copy of each song to the label. So they had to photocopy these lyrics and randomly spread them across the 50 people who ordered that version. It was a mess like nobody's business and the label didn't last much longer after that.

 

Brand New covered “Wish” by NIN in the post-Daisy era and people were shitting themselves like “WOW NEW SONG” and “heavier than Daisy stuff!” and it’s like, ah yes, love 2 credit Jesse Lacey for a Trent Reznor decades old song.

 

i guess none of my posts were myths, legends or rumors. just some favorite moments of mine. i clearly can’t read.

I have a long and arduous history with AP. I've probably met around 100 people between both sites. Lots of weird and fun stuff.

-The guy who was thrown in jail for, i think, pedophilia? He wrote a few of the ladies from the site letters about his time in prison. I'm not sure if anyone is around that would remember this. @wade @J.C. ?
