We are Costco members so gas is cheap and my car gets 52 MPG so I might only refill a few more times this year while working from home

When I was in college I often could only afford to put a couple gallons in at a time, usually just whatever I needed for a couple days. Glad I don't need to deal with that bs anymore.

Well, I could afford college because it was technically free because my dad worked at the university while I was attending. Definitely count myself lucky there. I was on my own for things like gas and books.

I was lucky to never run out of gas, but I'm sure my engine probably didn't like to be riding empty so often. Living somewhere with good public transportation is something I feel thankful for, especially since my car is pretty much dead now. I still have it, but it just takes up my parking space until I finally figure out what to do with it. Maybe someone will give me like $500 for it or something haha.

 

I had a shrimp poboy. It was delicious. Also tried some of Sloan's seafood gumbo which was out of this world. I'll have to get that next time.

 

The only time I ran out of gas, I was at a gas station. So that worked out perfectly.

 

I ran out of gas only once, back when I was still in high school and it wasn't my car, but a family one. Basically played chicken with parents to see who would use the car when it needed gas badly enough and I lost that because I used it more. Only a mile walk though to get gas, could have been worse.

Lol same. I was on a toll road and really didn’t want to pay two more tolls to exit and enter the highway again.

Made it to my exit, coasted down a hill, my engine shut off right as I was turning into the gas station. Was able to push it the rest of the way lol
