So my friend and I were talking about this the other night. Most weekends we get super fucked up but like our group is 19-22. At what point does this become sad? Because we have a 30 year old friend that gets fucked up with us too and I would feel sad if I was 30 getting wasted with 20 year olds

 

My parents gave me a tv for my bedroom and it's funny because it's 24" but it's HD so I've got a super clear picture on this tiny screen

 

@dadbolt is like 52 and still gets fucked up at least every weekend so

 

it's funny that that's small when at some point in our childhoods that was just a normal tv size

 

Yeah I definitely grew up with a 24" box tv in my room but there was less to see back then!

 

I think it depends where, but I can't imagine being 30 and hanging out with a 19 year old because I'm not in a pop punk band
also I think it gravitates more to going to bars than getting drunk at someone else's house

 

Friend has a wedding in Florida at end of July. Trying to decide if I'm gonna go. Contemplating saying fuck it and springing for first-class plane tickets because long flights when you're tall fucking blows.

 

Just tell them you're sick that day.

 

Seriously the best part of not having friends is not having to do stuff like weddings and baby showers and spending time with people.

 

I was gonna blow it off, but kind of think it'd be a nice vacation (which would also make my boss happy, he wants me to go on one, since he has a couple times since I've started here).

but there's no direct flights to the little podunk airports near the wedding, so like it sucks. but 1100 on tickets lol...

 

I mean true. I also got an invite to my uncle's wedding. But like it's his second wife and I don't really give a fuck bout him. I can pat him on the back when I see him next week, lol.

 

Yeah if you want to go and have the money to do it sure, I just don't like doing anything like that at all. I've been to 5 weddings that I remember, 1 was mine, 1 was when I was like 10, 1 aunt, 1 sister, 1 father in law getting remarried.

I just don't enjoy being social.

 

I was pretty relieved when I didn't have to go to my cousins wedding last year and missed my dad's too, all around living outside of El paso has been a success.

I'm not sure I really want to go. Like I want to support one of the few long-time friends I have, but it'll be two all-days of travel, plus then being stuck around people I don't know aside from him and my other long-time friend who is attending.

On top of spending a lot of money to spend the whole time wanting for it to be over lol. I am an introvert to the core and just dragging my ass out of my apartment on the weekend to see a movie a mile from my apartment isn't always something I can convince myself of haha.

 

While we definitely were cheap and shopped around for stuff we weren't super couponers yet at that point. That started shortly after we got married.
