On "Sleeping Ute" when i hear Daniel Rossen go "dreamed a lo-o--o-o--o-o-oo--o--ng daaa--a-aa-a-a-a-a-aaayyy" with that vibrato UGH it just rips my heart out of my chest. I LOVE his voice. He just croons.

Unsure why I've still never listened to his solo project Department of Eagles. Think I'll get on that.

now that GBs done, daniel rossen + foxing singer project would excite me in ways that most other bands couldnt tbh. daniel is a savant.

and the foxing guy has a really moving and unique voice. one of the very best new voices Ive heard in a while. Id just super prefer that he refrain from sometimes purposefully sounding like a singer from a band that rhymes with Sand Blew.

Actually now that I think about it, I believe it was Sunday! I'm trying not to impulsively spend money so I'm proud I didnt use it, but also kinda wish I had so I'd known it was missing sooner lol. A friend invited me to lunch and then had to pay for me cause I realized I didn't have it!

And I agree that the croaking / screaming is my least favorite thing that the Foxing dude does, but at the same time the fact that it's part of his singing repertoire just makes him more diverse. It allows Foxing to teeter on the edge of post-hardcore at times. I do like that.

I would like it a lot less if that was ALL he did. Like, the vocals on Albatross are kinda grating after awhile

Ok I've sorta gone from like "eh my wallet isn't lost its just misplaced" to like ....yeah shoot I rly can't find it. I looked in all my pants pockets of the pants I wore this week so far as well as the floor in case it fell out of my pocket while changing. Looked in my purse like three times and the surrounding countertop. I looked in the couch cushions in case it fell out of my pocket into the couch. I looked in my guitar bag in case I had shoved it in there on the way to my guitar lesson. I looked in my glove compartment to see if I had put it in there for some reason. I'm at a loss. Which is fine until Friday when I should probably pay for like therapy and my oil change.

 

Gotta admit, Foxing / The National are not bad choices for favorite bands. Love both. We will go see both live this year.
