Eh. I’ve been to several orientations where they just go through the company handbook and tell you a bunch of obvious things. So this is actually kinda refreshing. I usually hate how restaurants all have the same cookie cutter protocol.

They also encourage you to have your own unique way of adapting to the guest which is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of the scripted service I had at my last job. I used to ad lib it depending on the formality / age of the guest, I’m good at adapting my service, so that did not mesh well with me once they hired a a manager that hovered and made sure you used those exact words.
