It’s good. I watched it when it came out , read it and then watched it again last year. Outside of Bardem’s performance I don’t think I’ll ever watch it again
Instagram just fed me a MBJ win post and I guess he is kinda fun as the vampire brother for a scene but like…we aren’t giving Tom Savini an Oscar for his performance as Sex Machine in From Dusk Til Dawn
2007 is such a great movie year, twbb is my favorite movie ever but there were like a dozen movies that could have credibly won best picture and one of them did
My favorite PTAs are the ones that are a little funnier but damn he’s just bulletproof and knows how to make a picture
Since I correctly guessed OBAA would win best picture last year on Oscars night, my prediction for next year is Fernando mereilles’ here comes the flood @Long Century
The weird thing about this year is that there wasn’t a single big upset. Amy Madigan’s is an odd one out for winning a “big” award when Weapons got zero other noms, but even she was generally considered one of the favorites to win her category
I think what’s actually going to screw Chalamet for the foreseeable future is how he’s made clear just how much he *wants* to win and embrace the competition aspect of it. I have no doubt that there are countless Academy members who, despite 100% feeding into the competition aspect of it, can’t stand the thought of the nominees openly leaning into it rather than faking being humble
