Frankenstein at least makes sense bc the academy has a history with GDT and it is deserving on a lot of the technical nominations. There is no reason for F1 to be nominated other than it’s catnip to boomers lol

 

Annoys me how much they don’t spread the love and only nominate the same group of movies for all the different awards

 

I know why they nominated Frankenstein I just personally don’t think it’s a successful film. F1 is truly an insane nomination though.

 

Frankenstein was great, but I think it only has a chance at winning make up, cinematography, and production design.
