Okay sure. I didn’t watch the doc lol but even if the whole thing isn’t about that, the Grammys seemed to affect the mindset of the biggest musician in the world. To say the winners and losers of those awards doesn’t have an effect on music the way winners and losers of the Oscar’s do movies seems a bit disingenuous
The difference is just the volume of music we have comparatively to the volume of winners and movies being pretty different

Well yes, that is true. A big indicator of that is how few of the movies nominated actually followed the traditional Oscar release strategy of opening in Los Angeles in December and then expanding out.
One Battle > Marty > Sinners > Frankenstein > Hamnet > Bugonia > Sentimental > F1 > Train Dreams > Secret Agent F1 should absolutely not be nominated though, it's more just for the technical craft of it. The amount of product placement in that movie is fucking egregious though. Train Dreams and Secret Agent didn't click with me, but I'm not mad that they're in there. I really love 1-7 though.
