Watched A Star is Born tonight. Good movie, don't think it stands a chance at winning Best Picture, though. Interesting that there's been so much hype about Gaga's performance in this, I honestly thought Bradley out shined her.
The Favourite is my favorite of the Best Picture noms but I haven't seen most of them. Eighth Grade i liked as much as anything that came out last year.
Eh. I remember thinking that it should have been an HBO miniseries or something. They tried doing much for a film-length story. The burglary scene was great, though
It’s based on an old British miniseries, so that vibe makes sense. I thought it did an incredible job of packing that much story into film length. There was way more going on in it than you might expect from a wide release heist film. Lots of really cool shots as well, and the acting is great.
Cooper deserves the Oscar way more then Rami does. But John David Washington should be there and should win.
The Oscars miss out on like 80% of the best movies every year but this year it was almost like they wanted to be as close to 100% as possible
And yet somehow one of the actual best films of 2018 is looking like the Best Picture frontrunner at the moment (Roma) so that's something at least. If Roma actually manages to win, I'll be pretty happy.
I posted an article yesterday of people speculating she is because she's been absent from The View the last couple weeks citing sickness and mentioned on air months ago she'd be down for hosting if asked
in order of preference (roma is gonna win): ASIB the favorite black panther roma blackkklansman vice dont make me decide which of bohemian rhapsody and green book is the worst this year. they both suck ass.
I havent seen anyone of the movies yet, and I used to see them all, etc... I hope the show is enjoyable. Its this weekend, right?
Personally, last year had a lot of solid films... Get Out, Lady Bird, Call Me By Your Name, Phantom Thread, Dunkirk, Shape of Water, I, Tonya, Big Sick, Baby Driver,
