I mean...technically they haven’t said they’re not doing it. Just pushing it off a year.

 

If you want to honor popular movies just watch The People's Choice Awards

 

I support the Popular Movies category if they also include a third category for “Super Independent Arthouse Films That Never Stood a Chance Despite Being Better Than 85% of Nominated Movies that can at Least be Part of the Ceremony Now”

 

Won’t you be my neighbor should have best documentary locked up, interested to see if they’ll actually give a Netflix movie best picture (Roma).

 

Yeah it should, but also the documentary category gets super weird with what it includes/doesn't include sometimes.

 

Also, I know it's early and Vice could be amazing, but right now my guess is A Star Is Born gets picture but Cuaron gets director.

 

I think its only big competition is Three Identical Strangers from what I've seen. I don't know if RBG or Fahrenheit 11/9 have enough support behind them, individually.

 

I really hope Chalamet gets his due, even though he’s like 22 lol

 

Also haven’t seen it but Green Book is getting a ton of positive buzz

Three Identical Strangers
Minding the Gap

 

Yeah that one's interesting. Only one Toronto People's Choice Award winner has not been nominated for Best Picture in the last ten years (Where Do We Go Now?), so I don't see how that doesn't slip in there.

 

It's tough to make any predictions since we still got two whole months of movies to come out. Of all the BP nominees last year, only 2 came out before Thanksgiving.

He could just copy/paste the apology he made a few years ago. It wouldn’t be any less sincere if he was to make a completely new one and I doubt anyone would have noticed.

 

His comments from a few years ago aren’t even really an apology tho

 

Does anyone actually want him to host anyway? Most of the stuff ive seen him do is painfully unfunny.

 

I don't hate Kevin Hart as an actor/comedian, but God, he's so wrong on this.
