TDK was great but there was no way in 2008 that was going to get nominated. dunkirk, as i said, is worthy. don't get me started on inception lmao.

 

Nolan hate gives me life, not gonna lie. When he was nominated I was stoked at the thought that so many people were probably mad about it.

 

Nolan makes serviceable blockbusters. He's nowhere near top tier.

i don't even dislike nolan. i respect him a lot. he frustrates me more than anything bc he shows flashes of being so talented and then he'll sink back and make something as incomprehensible as interstellar and the back half of tdkr. he could be kubrick, he could be mann, but he gets in his own way.
