none of the ones he actually would have been deserving for were big enough and the ones that were have nearly incomprehensible plots and are driven by the acting much more than his direction. i liked his work in dunkirk but putting him in the same tier or whatever as PTA is absurd

 

TDK, Inception, and Dunkirk come to mind.
