I am a sucker for a lot of '80s pop music. I love the early drum machines and the liberal use of sax.
This thread is all I need in my life. Here'a a link to a Spotify playlist of mine with heaps of 70's-80's jams. I listen to it way too much, there may be some Australian classics that would never have seen airtime in the US
My playlist killed the mood in here, sorry all. Just to bring it back up, here's a tune I've been hammering of late
Before "The Japanese House" came on stage tonight, as their instruments were getting prepped, they were playing over the house sound system several songs from the "Hats" album by The Blue Nile - I was totally groovin' out the whole time, just feelin' it
Yeah it's all been produced recently, but all his stuff has a very 80's aesthetic. Makes me nostalgic for a time I never experienced
The Blue Nile - Hats is everything This is a fantastic interview - if you're into The Blue Nile just a little bit, this is a must listen
Actually haven't heard that one myself, but had it on my list today to listen to. You neeeed to hear "Hats" though
