Catching up on Peacock. I like that it's on streaming so I can rewind. Whoa there were three Asian directors nominated in Drama?!
kinda feels like this might be the last year with those two winning. not mad they grabbed the trophies.
Did Jean Smart deserve it? Idk the only one of those I watched was Maisel. Would it have been cool to see Zendaya followed by Issa or Quinta? Yes.
Would have been nice for BCS to win something (always next year though with how the season was split?), but happy about those Succession wins, phenomenal show
This was the only shot for BCS probably. Succession will have a recent season and BCS will be a year removed. Maybe they'll give Rhea a pity emmy. But 46 noms, 0 wins is unforgivable.
I haven't seen Squid Game and I'm way behind on BCS, but I do think an Asian/non-English-speaking role winning is cool. Hopefully Odenkirk will be up for next year?
Complaining about certain shows not winning seems incredibly silly to me. Like, there is a long history of not honoring the actual best shows. Award winners generally tend to be deserving... but there are always multiple deserving choices each year and the winner generally doesn't go to the most deserving it just goes to the one that does the best job appealing to the voters.
I think he's been nominated five times so most likely since the 2nd half was his best work. I won't get my hopes up for a win though lol
I think it's incredibly silly to come in here just to start shit and condescend like we don't know how awards shows work
The only thing that surprised me about the Squid Game win was it went to by far the weakest actor in the cast.
I get it came out what seems like forever ago and was up against way more popular series, but would have been so cool to see some Station Eleven love. What a perfect season of television, need to rewatch soon
