Hot take: I think the nominations for best drama are kind of embarrassing this year. Handmaids Tale and Better Call Saul are both good, but i wouldn't consider either one outstanding. And I think This is Us will probably win, which is sad.
House of Cards has no business being nominated for Drama Series. Haven't seen The Handmaid's Tale yet, but I watched all the others and enjoyed them. The Leftovers wasn't nominated, so it doesn't even matter ha.
It won for Host for a Reality/Reality-Competition Program; Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming; and Picture Editing for a Structured or Competition Reality Program.
So happy for Donald. Hopefully that's a sign of a good night for the show, but I think Veep will probably sweep the other comedy awards.
