This. This. This. It all feels like 1 extremely long song to me. Where as though Be My Mistake is my least favorite on ABI, it feels like it the album keeps moving as opposed to being stuck in one spot for like 13 minutes
Did someone on chorus just agree with me Also if I’m being extra snarky, the fact If I Believe You before all of that is 7 mins too.. I’ll run now (Just to clarify - If I Believe You is ace though, just have beef with placement of the subsequent songs)
I'm gonna guess some people in this thread don't listen to ambient/post rock music. Y'all would hate Godspeed lmao
Yeah that one and Lostmyhead have brought chills to my body or moved me to tears many times. I'll never forget the first time I ever listened to those songs. I was on a different planet
I feel responsible for saying I think the flow/sequencing on ABI is perfect. I in no way was comparing it to ILIWYS, but a bunch of jabronis started to....
I think all their albums are sequenced pretty well. ABI is probably my least favorite sequencing just because I think the back half drags a bit. And Love It If We Made It should have come before Petrichor. Also I skip the robot one every time.
I want them to do more instrumental/one liner songs. Make a visual EP with their typical stage set up.
I can never tell exactly how I feel about ABIIOR’s sequencing simply bc I think I fucked it up for myself by listening to the singles hundreds of times before the record release, half the songs feel like summer/early fall and the other half feels like winter and that’s hard for me to reconcile.
YO THAT'S TRUE But I played the hell out of Love Me and UGH before that album came out and I don't skip them anymore, so I'm hoping it's the same story in time for ABI. What's everyone's favorite opener? Mine by far is the ABI one. Love those vocal effects.
I never really had that problem with ILIWYS bc UGH! was the only single I listened to all that much before its release and for some reason it never felt out of place on the record. as far as openers go, I rank them the same as I rank the records ILIWYS>ABIIOR>S/T
Love the run up to If I Believe You, it’s like banger after banger. Then I get bored. Tbf I overplayed the shit out of the singles too. It’s a very real problem, exacerbated by what I’d argue personally are excessively long release schedules. And lack of restraint.
