I’m seeing the new instrumental is called “Depth.” I’m a little behind on the last few pages, was this confirmed somewhere?

Wow you went in lol glad you take all from:

    People like people
    They want alive people
    The young surprise people
Stop fucking with the, fucking with the kids

    Cause I certainly don’t :/

@dylan is ehh but completely right here.

The verses explicitly detail millennial/gen-z anxieties about our poor economic prospects and are increasingly isolationist tendencies.

I mean, again, I get what the song is getting at, but is the simplistic “people like alive people (generally preferred lol) the young surprise people” going to be lost on many that aren’t remotely intelligent. You are deriving quite a bit from that.

I downloaded the Reading audio from that Reddit link above.

I’ve always liked Sincerity is Scary, but it just also never really did much for me. It’s good, but I didn’t understand how it became one of their most popular songs. But HOLY SHIT.

The Reading performance, it is out of this world. And now It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You). I’m feeling a real warmth and happiness that I feel like I haven’t felt since my childhood. Just a real joy. Like the feeling you got from watching an episode of Sesame Street or Mr. Rodgers. It might also be because they sound so 80’s/90’s.

I’m also really stoned. Speaking of, the only time I’ve ever “tripped” from smoking weed was listening to The 1975 on shuffle. That was wild. I heard so many little nuances in the background on so many songs, that they are now at the front of the mix now when I listen. I can’t un-hear them.

I don’t think there’s another person in this thread who hasn’t gleaned the intended meaning from “want alive people”

I just didn’t think it would be quite as direct and on the nose. I was just overthinking it.

I mean everybody here analyses everything to the millionth degree haha, overthinking here is like the general rule of thumb.

What a show. I like how at the end of Robbers he says c-c-c-cool cool cool like the DLID version.

I've probably watched the Live at The O2 show 10 times, time to add Reading to the mix.

So incredible to see the entire crowd jump in unison for The Sound, and to then watch Matty go absolutely mental in response - they absolutely crushed that set

Seeing them tonight with No Rome, Pale Waves, You Me At Six and Twin Atlantic. Gonna be a good day!

I’m amazed You Me At Six are still going. Haven’t heard much from them since I saw them support Paramore in 2009.

Yeah I was pretty surprised at that. I don't even think I've listened to anything since their debut.

Loved their debut as a kid. Can’t imagine there’s anything for me there now though. I’ll have a listen later on haha.

That songs really grown on me strictly because of how much fun it is live. The entire crowd goes fucking nuts

Just back from Glasgow Summer Sessions. They played People as an opener and it was insane. Basically the RandL setlist. Matty sounded fantastic and like he was genuinely having fun. Jumping in the crowd and making jokes.
I Couldnt Be More In Love was a highlight (except when Twin Atlantic played Crash Land, a personal favourite) and the whole crowd was great!!
