Just saw on Reddit someone's theory that Notes' The 1975 track doesn't have the 'go down, soft sound' because they're the same era as Brief Inquiry so we already got one for this era.
Man I am just so jazzed about this Haven’t heard the new intro yet but I’m ok with it being without the Go Down section if it’s for the message described The intro is absolutely gorgeous
i think it’s smart to not go the same route for a fourth time, personally. i had a feeling they would when i read that Matty had a lot of trouble with the ABIIOR one
Tbh though I love the intros, maybe it is time to ditch the annual blowjob song when they’re trying to get political ha. Not surprised it’s not included on the newest intro - it’d be massively jarring.
Honestly, I’m kinda over the intro thing they had going. Loved the one for ILIWYS, but the one from ABIIOR didn’t hit me the same way
Yes, he was trying for a while and I believe they hashed the album version out in a few hours the day before their deadline
Oh I thought you meant the lyrical content rather than the actual production of it. Not like they haven’t got 8 months to get cracking on it now though hah. But yeah I think if those lyrics are going to be present on the album, it’ll be a nod elsewhere on another track now. If they’re planning 22 tracks and already revealing this much info then they must be a decent way through it all so far. Damn. 22 bloody tracks.
Between this and the Refused announcement/teaser I’m in a weird headspace. “Civil disobedience” v “total violent obliteration of the one percent”
Maybe they’re gonna play it on the show today then not release it as a single til then. Or it’s part of an EP. URGH I HATE MY MIND AND THE REACHES I MAKE
