I personally find A Brief Inquiry to be a nighttime record. Then again I've been listening to it at all times - it just really hits me at night. That goes for all of their albums though.

I haven’t decided if ABIIOR feels more like a night or day album to me, but it’s definitely a perfect winter album.

I still haven't wrapped my mind around the title tbh.

The conditional tense in first person is "If I had" statements. So Notes on a Conditional Form is about hypotheticals and wishing you'd done things. It's a really pseudointelllectual, writerly way to talk about "if this than that" statements.
