I was at that show too, and it might still be my favorite time seeing them over the years. It was magical. How much has changed since then, wow.
I have the record and I have noticed I don’t listen to it much but whenever I feel like playing songs from this album this is my playlist where I cut some of the songs I don’t like to make it shorter. Enjoy if you like it. I don’t care much for the D side of the record. Notes Recut, a playlist by Shaun Pine on Spotify
The Birthday Party is probably my favorite song after all this time. They do subdued Americana very well.
I said debut but I meant Surf, listening to their actual debut right now since I just learned about it
Finally listened to this record from start to finish for the first time since May. Damn, this is really good. Long, but great. Weird that I kinda swept it aside so quickly after it came out. It was cursed coming out at the time that it did, the world was on fire. And to echo some things that have already been said probably a thousand times, that tour would've been absolutely massive if it went off as planned. This, Phoebe and Beabadoobee really put out 3 of the best records this year.
Sam constantly posts old or unused art pieces that the 1975 never posted for whatever reason, Matty has even commented on one a few months ago "did we ever use this?" or something like that. Wouldn't read too much into it.
All her stuff has been great; here are some Spotify tracks to get started This feature she did is really good too
I think I’m finally ready to say...A Brief Inquiry is their best album. Whole thing slaps. Notes has some great high points though.
