Just thinking about my reaction to this over the past few days, and I can’t remember the last time I 180’d this hard on something. I know I’m now in the minority, and if contradicts my “this is exhausting” posts, but from front to back, I honestly now find this the easiest album of theirs and I find it moving in a way they haven’t hit for me before. I need to start biting my tongue after first and second listens of things.
As someone who considers himself a passive The 1975 fan, I tried listening to NOACF this afternoon and after 6 tracks I have experienced what I can only describe as musical whiplash. I'm going to try to spin it again later tonight, but holy hell, that experience left an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
Having No Head / What Should I Say is a vibe back to back, and I am here for it. Also as a casual fan of this band this is my favorite album of theirs, easily.
I get the complaints people have about this record but those same things are aspects that keep drawing me to this. It all works for me
If you want the yellow one, you should get it soon, Jamie posted earlier that they put up the last batch on the store.
I’m supposed to be seeing them at Madison Square Garden right now. Bummed would be the understatement of the century.
$50 for a contemporary pressing (we have no idea where or what it’s pressed from, probably digital files and some mid to low level plant, no idea who cut the lacquers). It’s a lot of $$ with no info. Unless someone can furnish it. I’m gonna wait for the clear pressing that’s like half the price. I wish I could justify the yellow. it’s always bothered me with vinyl that this info isn’t given as a standard practice.
